Established in 1996 through collaboration between the Vietnam and Singapore governments, Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) Binh Duong is a joint venture between Becamex IDC Corporation and a Singapore consortium led by Sembcorp Development. Over 16 years, VSIP I has evolved into a premier industrial park in Vietnam, attracting significant investments, facilitating technology transfers, and emphasizing environmental sustainability for multinational companies targeting both domestic and export markets.

Development and Achievements

VSIP I’s development commenced with the VSIP I Industrial Park Development Project in Thuan An District (now Thuan An Town), Binh Duong Province, marked by the Groundbreaking Ceremony on May 14th, 1996. Notable dignitaries such as former Vietnamese Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet and former Singaporean Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong attended the event, symbolizing bilateral cooperation.

Over time, VSIP I has emerged as a role model among industrial parks in Vietnam. Fully occupied, it has attracted 231 projects with a collective investment surpassing 3.2 billion USD, generating employment for approximately 95,000 individuals and contributing significantly to Binh Duong province’s industrial, modernization, and urbanization efforts.

The industrial park has successfully integrated commercial, service, and urban centers, fostering a conducive and sustainable environment. An example of this integration is the Habitat Binh Duong high-end apartment project, strategically positioned near AEON Mall Binh Duong Canary.
