Sirajganj Economic Zone Limited (SEZL) is a visionary project that aims to become a catalyst for sustainable development in Bangladesh. As the largest economic zone in the country, SEZL is poised to play an indispensable role in generating employment opportunities and driving production activities in the northern region of Bangladesh, contributing significantly to the nation’s industrial development.

SEZL is strategically located on the west side of the Bangabandhu Bridge in Sirajganj district, encompassing an expansive land area of approximately 1041.43 acres. The project is led by Sirajganj Economic Zone Limited, a consortium of twelve companies and individuals, with Rising Group playing a pivotal role in bringing this concept to life. With meticulous planning and development, SEZL aims to be the largest and well-planned private economic zone in Bangladesh.

SEZL offers a wide range of investment opportunities, particularly in petrochemical plants, bulk storage and refinery, fabrication, and support services such as electricity, water, and telecommunication. The economic zone is designed to attract potential investors with its lucrative location and strong communication network. Moreover, SEZL is committed to sustainable practices, incorporating eco-friendly materials, waste minimization technologies, and energy recovery possibilities to reduce power consumption and minimize environmental impact.

The establishment of SEZL has received significant financial support from the Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), a government-owned financial institution. This support underscores the government’s commitment to promoting large-scale infrastructure projects in the private sector. IDCOL has already disbursed Tk 725 million for the development of on-site and off-site facilities for SEZL. The economic zone is well-connected to the northern part of the country through road, river, rail, and air links, ensuring accessibility and connectivity to serve the entirety of Bangladesh and neighboring countries.
