Salambigar Industrial Park, strategically located close to Brunei’s airport and main port, caters to light-medium industries, particularly in the food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics sectors. The park offers an ideal environment for businesses to thrive and expand their operations.

Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) is inviting businesses to submit expressions of interest (EOI) for the development, operation, and occupation of factory space units and a commercial center within the Salambigar Industrial Park. The factory hub, to be constructed over a 4.3-hectare plot, will offer multiple high-ceiling units adaptable for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to manufacture various products. Additionally, a commercial center, spanning a 2.7-hectare plot, is envisioned as a mall that can accommodate 30 to 40 retail stores and office spaces ranging from 30 to 100 square meters, with provisions for an anchor tenant to occupy a unit of approximately 6,500 square meters.

The commercial center and factory space are part of the planned build-up of the Salambigar Industrial Park, which currently hosts 10 tenants employing over 500 people. Both projects are expected to commence construction between December 2019 and May 2020. The commercial space aims to cater not only to the tenants but also to the surrounding Salambigar and Muara community, which comprises approximately 50,000 residents. The development of the factory space is targeted to provide local MSMEs with the necessary infrastructure to initiate manufacturing operations, with the flexibility to upgrade to larger spaces or transition to other industrial parks managed by DARe as their production capacities grow.

DARe is currently seeking EOIs from a diverse range of businesses, including developers, designers, building managers, marketing consultants, and retail businesses. By opening up the opportunity for different parties to submit their interest, proposals, and plans, DARe aims to ensure that both the commercial center and factory hub are tailored to best fit the needs of businesses and the market.

DARe will host another briefing on the project on June 14 at the main auditorium of the Design and Technology building at 9 am. For more information about the project, interested parties can visit DARe’s website to gain a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities available at Salambigar Industrial Park.
