To address congestion and accommodate growing passenger demand, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam is developing Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat. With an investment of VND10.99t ($466m), it is expected to handle 20 million passengers annually from the second quarter of 2025.
The existing terminals faced overcrowding, affecting tourism in Ho Chi Minh City. With the anticipated 14.5% annual passenger growth rate, Terminal 3 aims to alleviate congestion and contribute to the region’s economic development.
