Al Rusayl Industrial City was the first to be set up by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) in Oman and contains around 310 operations.
Oman Investment and Development Holding Company (Mubadrah) manage and develop Al Rusayl Industrial City starting in 2019. Rusayl Industrial Estate is the first industrial city to be managed and operated according to the private sector’s regulations in the Sultanate. This comes in line with Madayn’s board of directors’ decision to adopt the programme of strengthening partnership with the private sector.
The number of the workforce at the industrial city increased to 21,725 during 2021. The number of investing projects reached 334.
Al Rusyal Industrial City signed an agreement with Sandy Valley Robotics to implement in the industrial city. It is designed to act as the first and largest robotics park in the Middle East. The project will be implemented in several phases with an initial project cost of about USD 2 billion. The Robotics Park, which will generate around 15,000 job opportunities. It will comprise workshops for manufacturing robots of all kinds including medical, commercial and industrial types.
