Aqtau Port

Aqtau International Commercial Sea Port is a modern multi-purpose terminal. It allows the transportation of goods from east to west, from north to south on a 24/7 basis. Its location is on the Caspian Sea at the intersection of several transport corridors and has a strategic importance for the development of the state. Expending of port capacities will soon allow Kazakhstan to become an active participant in the service of international cargo flows within the global strategic programs.

Loading equipment allows the port to handle all types of general and bulk cargo, containers, and rolling cargo. Th e port also handles railway ferries to Baku in Azerbaijan on the other side of the Caspian Sea. The port covers a large area of more than 50,000 sq m of outdoor and a 6,000 sq m covered transit warehouse facilities. A container yard provides for secure storage of cargo, including heavyweight loads.

As the Belt and Road Initiative continues its development the port will grow in strategic economic importance on to support Kazakhstan in becoming one of the key hubs in Eurasian trade facilitation.

Cargo district Bautino is part of Aqtau International Commercial Sea Port operations. It is located in the village of Bautino 150 km from the city of Aqtau.

Bautino port can process up to 200,000 tonnes of cargo. The main advantage is the natural protection from weather disturbances. This allows performing cargo operations even in stormy weather.
