Azerbaijan - Balaxanı Sənaye Parkı
Balakhani Industrial Park was set up at the end of 2011 and is managed by Tamiz Shahar Open Stock Company in Azerbaijan. A number of enterprises have supposed to have been established there. Around seven hectares have been established with tenants.
Balakhani eco-industrial Park will be established with the aim to develop recycling in the country. This was confirmed with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on December 28, 2011. “Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on establishing Balakhani Industrial Park in Baku” and “Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on providing operation of Balakhani Industrial Park” were signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The foundation of the Industrial Park was laid by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 19, 2012.
The main purpose in establishing this park is to make favorable condition for potential entrepreneurs and investors interested in recycling industry. Therefore the government will provide all the required conditions for mechanical processing and producing equipment in the park. It will support enterprises. Industrial Park will be established close to Balakhani landfill and Waste-to-Energy Plant. It will also be connected to the main highway. The park will make favorable condition for taking raw material and energy or product to the market.
Infrastructure at Balakhani Industrial Park
It is planned to construct internal and external infrastructure of Balakhani Industrial Park. This is in order to increase interest of potential entrepreneurs and investors for green business, especially recycling industry. So that the road will be constructed, electricity, gas water, drainage, and communication lines will be lined up as an external infrastructure. Registration office and scales will be placed in the entrance of the park. Office and operation building will be constructed in the area and all required infrastructure will be created.

Currently, the number of the Park residents is 11. Five enterprises are already operating, and six more will start in the near future. The five residents are engaged in recycling of used motor oil, waste plastic bottles, paper and cardboard products, waste plastic materials and sponge waste.

Investment volume
The volume of investments the residents made in the park as of 2018 is USD18.8 million. About 400 permanent jobs were created there at the first stage.
The residents of industrial parks are exempt from property, land and profit taxes for 10 years from the date of their registration. They are also free from paying value-added tax (VAT) and customs duties for machinery, technological equipment, and facilities imported for production purposes, for 10 and 7 years, respectively, since being granted residency status.
