This government in Myanmar managed industrial zone was established in 1997 in anticipation of the growth in garment for export production and food processing. After some neglect following the sanctions in the 2000’s the estate revived in the 2010’s as foreign manufacturers returned to the country. While infrastructure is poor the estate is close to large population centres with growing affordable housing options.
The location of Dagon Seikkan is also of benefit to tenants with nearby access to the four land bridge across to Thanlyin and onwards to Thilawa Port.
Sadly the military coup and ongoing repression of the population the industrial estate should be avoided by investors.
