Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd, formed on 15th February 2017, is a joint venture between Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd and Beibu Gulf Holding (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd. The official handover of the Muara Conventional Terminal on 18th July 2018 marked the complete transfer of operational and managerial responsibilities to MPC. Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd, established in 2012, holds a pivotal role in owning Brunei’s Government-linked companies, contributing to the country’s economic development strategy.
The Evolution of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port Group
Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port Group International Co., Ltd., a significant state-owned enterprise under the people’s government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was established in February 2007 through the merger of Fangchenggang, Qinzhou, and Beihai coastal ports. The group aligns with the “Belt and Road” initiative, contributing to the development of the Xijiang Golden Waterway, facilitating bay area connections, and fostering a new pattern of open development.
