Mashhad International Airport also known as Shahid Hashemi Nejad Airport is located 6.6 kilometres northeast of the city of Mashhad, the second most populous city in Iran. It takes around 15 minutes to get to the airport from the downtown. There are three terminals. One serving international flights, one for domestic and the third for Hajj charter flights. Most international flights are within the region.
