Investment Opportunities at Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon
KIEC has been successful in attracting over 70 national and multinational companies to set up operations within its industrial estate. The area has become a central location for steel-related industries, including both upstream and downstream sectors, as well as the chemical and petrochemical industries.
PT KSP, a subsidiary of PT Krakatau Steel, is actively seeking collaboration with South Korean companies to invest in the Cilegon Industrial Estate. The president director of PT KSP, along with the general manager of the industrial estate, visited South Korea to explore investment possibilities. Discussions were held with various South Korean companies, including those already operating in Cilegon.
Indonesia has made efforts to simplify investment processes through policies such as Law Number 11 of 2020 on Job Creation. These initiatives have streamlined business permits and provided fiscal incentives through the Risk-Based Online Single Submission (OSS) system, making it easier for investors to initiate and manage their projects.
Future Expansion and Development
In addition to the existing industrial estate in Cilegon, PT KSP is planning to establish a new industrial estate in Gresik, East Java. This expansion showcases the company’s commitment to creating strategic hubs for various industries across Indonesia, facilitating business growth and investment opportunities.
Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon (KIEC) stands as a testament to Indonesia’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for industrial growth.
