Oman - مدينة نزوى الصناعية
Nizwa Industrial City serves as a driving force for industrial progress in Oman’s Al-Dakhliya, Al-Wusta, and Al-Dhahira governorates. Established in November 1994 and strategically located 180 kilometers from Muscat, the city accommodates diverse sectors such as ceramics, plastics, medical products, and global oil services, benefitting from its proximity to the Khazzan gas field.
Expansion and Development Initiatives at Nizwa Industrial City
The ongoing expansion of Nizwa Industrial City’s phases 3 and 4 underscores its commitment to growth. The comprehensive development plan includes updates to the existing Masterplan, extending the road network by approximately 6.3 kilometers, and enhancing infrastructure elements such as stormwater, sewage, irrigation, electrical, street lighting, optical fiber telecom, potable water, and firefighting networks. The project also incorporates additional water storage facilities and a robust security system comprising CCTV cameras, security checkpoints, and an integrated automatic access control system.
Future Growth and Economic Impact at Nizwa Industrial City
With around 150 operational projects and over 6,000 workers contributing to its success, Nizwa Industrial City is set for further expansion in the coming years. Plans for the addition of 100 hectares to meet growing demand are underway. The completion of Phases 3 and 4 in 2023 by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates “Madayn” sets the stage for Phase 5, covering an estimated area of 4 million sqm. This development aligns with Oman Vision 2040, emphasizing the city’s commitment to supporting industrial growth, enhancing infrastructure, and attracting local and international investors, ultimately contributing to the in-country value.
