Established as a special economic zone by former President Joseph Estrada on July 3, 2000, under Proclamation No. 336, the People’s Technology Complex (PTC) spans 52.99 hectares. A collaborative effort of the Technology Livelihood Resource Center (TLRC), Province of Cavite, and the municipality of Carmona, PTC aims to generate employment opportunities, enhance workforce skills, and foster the growth of labor-intensive and export-oriented industries in the region.
Cavite: A Prime Destination for Investors
Cavite has emerged as a favored destination for investors, witnessing a steady rise in industrial establishments from 2002 to 2008. With a total of 805 industrial establishments operating in the province in 2008, District II leads with 431, followed by District I with 282 and District III with 92. Notably, Rosario, Carmona, and Dasmariñas house the highest numbers of these establishments, reflecting the province’s appeal to businesses seeking cost-effective labor and skilled manpower.
Special Economic Zone Expansion at People’s Technology Complex
Under Proclamation No. 2055, s. 2010, there are plans to expand the People’s Technology Complex — Special Economic Zone. This proposed proclamation aims to designate a parcel of land in Barangay Maduya, Carmona, Cavite, as an inclusion to the existing complex, in adherence to Republic Act No. 7916, as amended by Republic Act No. 8748.

The People’s Technology Complex hosts a diverse array of tenants, contributing to its dynamic industrial landscape. Notable tenants include Acetex Corporation, Almazora Motors Corporation, Bavaria Foods Phils., JD Dynamic Corporation, J.F. Rubber Philippines, Taiffini Copper Mfg. Corp. Valerie Product Corporation and many others. These companies operate across various sectors, showcasing the versatility and attractiveness of PTC as a hub for industrial activities.
Developer and Operator: People’s Technology Complex Locator’s Association
Overseeing the development and operations of PTC is the People’s Technology Complex Locator’s Association. This body plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning and continued growth of the complex, fostering collaboration among its diverse tenants.
