Established in 1976, Riyadh Second Industrial City, located east of Riyadh, has evolved into a significant industrial hub. The city’s development was carried out in four stages, covering a total area of over 18 million square meters, to meet the growing demand for industrial lands in Riyadh. Currently, the city hosts approximately 1,050 operational factories.
The Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) in the Second Industrial City has commenced operations, marking a significant milestone in the city’s industrial evolution. Launched by the National Development Logistics Program National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) in collaboration with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), the center aims to drive the development and implementation of programs and solutions for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It also focuses on advancing local and global competitiveness by enhancing workforce skills and providing technical consultations and innovative solutions for the industrial sector.
Addiyar Compound: Integrated Housing Services at Riyadh Second Industrial City
Al Saedan Real Estate has completed the Addiyar compound, the first of its kind in the Second Industrial City. This integrated compound, located on the new South Ring Road of Riyadh, comprises over 1000 units, including furnished apartments, a labor camp, and compounds for both families and bachelors. The compound also features health clubs, a central kitchen, and a supermarket catering to the city’s employees and laborers. Notably, the compound offers an integrated living environment, allowing executives, technicians, and laborers to reside within the same premises. It provides comprehensive services such as three daily meals for laborers, laundry facilities, and high standards of facilities management systems to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
